Move from strengths awareness to sustained leadership practice.
Many people know their top five CliftonStrengths® themes and have never had a structured way to use them at work. StrengthsWork is a guided practice program, run over about two months, that helps participants turn natural talent into habits they rely on.

- Executing
- Influencing
- Relationship Building
- Strategic Thinking
Participants spend one week on each of their top five strengths, building practical habits around how they plan, execute, communicate, and collaborate.
How StrengthsWork Is Structured
StrengthsWork is an applied development program in three parts, built on Gallup’s CliftonStrengths assessment:
- Part 1
Preparation & Preflection
Setting intentions, reviewing Gallup reports, and completing guided preflection in the lead.forward Guidebook.
- Part 2
The Weekly Focus Rhythm
The core of the program. Participants spend five weeks on their top five strengths, one per week, starting with Focus Strength #1 in Week 1 and ending with Focus Strength #5 in Week 5.
- Part 3
Final Reflection & Synthesis
A closing session, “The View from the Mountain,” where participants pull together what they learned across all five themes, map how their strengths combine, and set a longer-term growth plan.
How the Weekly Rhythm Works (Part 2)
The weekly rhythm fits into a normal work week:
Mondays | Set Your Strategy
30 minReview your focus strength’s Theme Insight Card, watch a two-minute explainer video, and look at your calendar for the meetings or tasks where you can practice that strength on purpose.
During the Week | Aim at Real-World Work
Apply your focus strength directly to active projects, decision-making, and team interactions while listening to curated Gallup podcast episodes.
Fridays | Reflect & Connect
50 min totalSpend 30 minutes capturing wins and friction points in your lead.forward Guidebook, followed by a 20-minute Strengths Chat with your Strengths Partner.
Strengths Partners
Each week ends with a Strengths Chat. Participants are paired with a Strengths Partner for the five-week rhythm, and their conversations are guided by questions about what they learned about their focus strength and where they saw it in action:
For Organizations
We pair people with colleagues from other departments or teams they rarely work with, which builds relationships across the organization. We work with your leaders to decide how pairings are made.
For Individual Professionals
Solo participants in open cohort groups are matched with a peer leader from another organization, creating a confidential, outside space to process growth.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is StrengthsWork?
StrengthsWork is a two-month program from transform.forward that helps participants put their CliftonStrengths® results to work. Participants focus on one of their top five strengths each week, reflect in the lead.forward Guidebook, and meet weekly with a Strengths Partner.
How much time does StrengthsWork take each week?
Participants spend about 30 minutes on Monday planning where to use their focus strength, apply it during the week in their regular work, and spend about 50 minutes on Friday, including 30 minutes of reflection and a 20-minute conversation with their Strengths Partner.
Do participants need to take the CliftonStrengths assessment first?
Yes. StrengthsWork is built on each participant’s top five CliftonStrengths themes. If someone has not taken the assessment yet, we can provide access as part of the program.
What is a Strengths Partner?
A Strengths Partner is a colleague paired with a participant for the weekly rhythm. Partners meet each Friday to talk through what they learned about their focus strength and where they saw it in action. In organizations, we often pair people from departments that rarely work together.
Can individuals join StrengthsWork without their organization?
Yes. Individual leaders can join an open cohort and work through StrengthsWork alongside peers from other organizations.
