Hollie brings nearly two decades of library expertise, specializing in library strategic planning, digital strategy, space planning, library instruction, and user experience design.
She holds a master’s degree in Library Science from the University of North Texas, a master’s degree in Data Science from Southern Methodist University, and a bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of North Texas. She was awarded an honorary degree from the Southern Methodist University Master of Art in Design & Innovation program.
Hollie most recently served as the Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Southern Methodist University (SMU) Libraries. With an $18-million annual operating budget, the SMU Libraries boasts six campus libraries that offer innovative research support and world-class special collections. She was responsible for leading strategic efforts for the SMU Libraries, including strategic planning and assessment, multiple website redesigns, service design, data management and governance, and equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility initiatives.
Currently, Hollie is the Founder and Lead AI Educator for Gardner AI Insights, which is a company that specializes in AI literacy coaching and consulting. She offers guidance for libraries who want to develop AI literacy curriculum and workshops.
